Mayor Calls For Top To Bottom Security Check At City Government Buildings

Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno has ordered a security evaluation of all public offices, in the wake of a vandalism incident that involved his car.

Security cameras captured a man slashing all four tires of the mayor's personal vehicle, while parked outside City Hall.

On Thursday, Sarno revealed the suspect had appeared at his office on both Tuesday and Wednesday and demanded to see him.

The mayor further stated the suspect behaved in what he termed a threatening manner.

A spokesperson for the police department says the suspect has been identified and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
