Police in Springfield have arrested the man accused of slashing the tires of Mayor Domenic Sarno's car.
Steven Kostorizos of Springfield was arrested Friday afternoon. Police say 55-year-old Kostorizos was allegedly caught on surveillance cameras slashing the car's tires on January 17th.
He is also accused of throwing a rock through a window at City Hall on Christmas Day, and of an unarmed burglary on January 16th.
Sarno said before the tire-slashing incident, Kostorizos had twice appeared at his offices, had demanded to see him, and behaved in a threatening manner.
Kostorizos will be arraigned today.
