Potential Deal Reached In Former Chicopee Superintendent Case

The former superintendent of the Chicopee school district is expected to plead guilty to charges of sending dozens of threatening text messages.

Lynn Clark of Belchertown was to appear at a pretrial hearing today, but her attorney has requested a Rule 11 hearing, meaning a plea agreement has been reached.

Clark is charged with two counts of making false statements to the FBI. In one case, Clark claimed she received threatening text messages, and in the second, was accused of sending 99 threatening messages to a candidate for Chicopee's open position of police chief.

Investigators say the messages were sent by Clark through a series of numbers she purchased for the purpose.
