An East Longmeadow man has been sentenced to 13 months behind bars, on charges of conspiring to defraud the US and making a false statement.

Forty-five-year-old Kevin Kennedy managed two golf courses in Springfield and was found to have skimmed money from the two interests and did not report the income to the Internal Revenue Service.

Kennedy was also found to have conspired with two accomplices to evade the taxes. Kennedy will face three years of supervised release after he leaves prison.
