The ACLU of Massachusetts has written a letter to the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Civil Rights regarding Title Six complaints alleging hostile environments on college campuses because of the Middle East war.

The ACLU is asking that steps are taken to ensure that investigations and enforcement actions do not encroach on the exercise of free expression.

The ACLU says freedom from discrimination and freedom of expression can - and must go hand in hand.

The ACLU supports the investigation of alleged antisemitic, anti-Israeli, anti-Muslim, anti-Palestinian, and anti-Arab environments and urges the OCR to complete its investigations as expeditiously as possible.
